Feeding Guidelines
For optimum health, dogs need a consistent feeding schedule. Feed mature dogs Big Red® Nuggets with Lamb and Rice once or twice a day. Feed right from the bag, or mix with water, milk or broth (1 part liquid to four parts food). Always have fresh, clean water available. How much to feed? The amount of food required may vary depending on a dog's age, weight, breed, activity range and temperment. For active dogs, use the larger suggested daily amount; for inactive dogs, use the smaller suggested daily amount. Feeding requirements may increase 35% to 50% during cold winter months. Hot weather or unseasonably warm temperatures may decrease your dog's appetite.
